Dardanelle Regional Medical Center has begun offering monoclonal antibody therapy to the public.
The therapy has been approved by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for emergency use to help patients who test positive for COVID-19. Dardanelle Regional is the only provider offering this therapy in the area. Individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19 should contact their physician to determine their eligibility for the antibody infusion.
Once a physician’s order is received, the infusions are given in the Outpatient Admissions area of Dardanelle Regional. The infusions require an hour to administer and each patient is monitored for an additional hour in the Emergency Department of the hospital.
